Prinze George Band  is holding a reunion show at Songbyrd Music House in Union Market District on Sunday, April 7 to celebrate the release of their new alt-pop album, “Better Girl.”

Wild Side Magazine’s Sarah Pollock sat down with lead vocalist Naomi Almquist, songwriter and producer Kenny Grimm, and drummer Isabelle De Leon of Prince George’s County, Maryland to talk about their latest album before the Songbyrd show.

The group started out as three friends making music in their post-college years, followed by couple Naomi Almquist and Kenny Grimm finding success as an electronic pop duo between NYC and LA.

A viral hit followed by some Carnage, G-Eazy, and Diplo collabs later, the duo came back to the D.C. area to play their first show with De Leon in seven years.

In her interview with Pollock, Almquist reflects, “It’s both a reunion and homecoming show, where we’re playing old music that feels new because it’s been so long since we’ve been able to enjoy and play it.”
